Lodging

Guests may be accommodated at the Homestead at the junction of the middle and south forks of the South Platte River. This is the original homestead of the legendary Ranch, Sam Hartsel, for which the town is so named.

The lodge has been recently remodeled to accommodate modern day conveniences such as high speed Internet, dining facilities, and ample sleeping arrangements, yet the historic architecture remains intact. Within the Sam Hartsel Lodge are 6 rooms with either King or Queen sized beds in each.

Cozy log cabins are also available for rent with queen bed, two single beds, kitchen, and living room. Click here to view rates.

Fishermen will love the immediate access to the gold medal fishing waters holding trophy sized wild trout only a few hundred feet from the Homestead.
